Versatile fiber connectivity products ease installation

June 17, 2005 Richardson, TX -- Systimax, a provider of structured connectivity platforms and services for organizations, has introduced its InstaPATCH Plus and G2 System fiber connectivity products, designed to assist end-users and installers by offering either factory or field-termination options.

According to the company, designed through in-depth consultation with both installers and end-users to ensure usability, practicality, and flexibility, the products simplify the design, configuration, and ordering of fiber apparatus.

The company says the G2 System, which is supplied either in factory or field-terminated options, is a high-density, modular fiber connectivity platform that allows installers to connect system components together simply and quickly. The company says the InstaPATCH Plus platform is particularly suited to data centers that have space and deployment constraints for fiber products needed to connect servers and switches.

The company says its system components can reduce on-site installation time by over 90%, while providing data centers with a smooth migration path from serial to parallel optical transmission technologies.

The products are available in laser optimized multimode and zero water peak singlemode options, supporting speeds exceeding 10 Gbit/sec. The company says the products form an integral part of its LazrSPEED and TeraSPEED end-to-end fiber platforms.
