Quanta Services joins Corning's Total Access Program

October 10, 2005 Hickory, NC -- Corning Cable Systems recently introduced Quanta Services as the newest member of the Corning Total Access Program (TAP). According to Corning, the program provides qualified design, engineering, furnishing, and installation companies with necessary tools to ensure successful FTTH deployments.

Certified TAP members receive all-inclusive access to Corning's FTTH platform. According to the company, after completing specialized training in the installation of optical access networks, program members are able to offer their customers up to a 10-year extended product warranty on complete Corning FTTH platforms (drop cables and assemblies carry a 3-year warranty).

"The Corning Total Access Program allows us to offer a warranty on certain Corning products, extending the value we deliver to our customers," says Ken Trawick, president of Quanta Services Telecom and Cable TV division. "We are proud to be part of this selective membership group."

"Quanta Services has a broad range of expertise in telecommunications infrastructure, making it a perfect addition to the Total Access Program," adds Bernhard Deutsch, director of market development for Corning Cable Systems. "With its vast experience in and coverage in all 50 states, Quanta will be able to pass on the program benefits to a variety of customers."

Quanta Services is a provider of specialized contracting services, delivering complete network platforms for the electric power, gas, telecommunications, and cable television industries. The company's services include designing, installing, repairing, and maintaining network infrastructure.
