AFL Telecommunications debuts One-Click Cleaner

MAY 5, 2008 -- AFL Telecommunications (search for AFL Telecommunications) today introduced the One-Click Cleaner, which it claims is an easy-to-use option for cleaning SC connections. Simply insert the One-Click cleaner into an SC adapter and push until an audible "click" is heard, say company representatives.

The One-Click Cleaner uses a mechanical push action to advance an optical-grade cleaning tape while the cleaning tip is rotated to ensure the fiber end-face is effectively, but gently cleaned. The automatic advance ensures each cleaning is performed with fresh cleaning tape, says the company. With over 500 cleanings in one unit, the cleaner is effective on a variety of contaminates, including dust and oils.

Ideal for field technicians, the One-Click cleaner is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket and is a great addition to cleaning kits, says AFL Telecommunications.
