MAY 27, 2008 -- Optelian (search for Optelian) today announced the release of its LightPRO Fiber Test and Turn Up kit, which features a a comprehensive set of optical test and inspection tools in a compact carrying case.
According to company representatives, the kit provides nine essential tools for common Test and Turn-up procedures, including a power meter and a dual-light source for span loss measurements, a 400x magnification inspection scope for visual inspection of connectors and jumpers, two visual fault finders for locating fiber and connector faults, and three cleaning tools for connectors and jumpers.
"The LightPRO product line is the ideal choice for field technicians requiring economical, quality tools designed for everyday, rugged use," contends Dave Mills, Optelian's vice president of service and sales, The Americas.
