Connexion to build FTTH network in Chandler, AZ

JULY 7, 2008 -- The Met, a multi-use development located in Chandler, AZ, has partnered with fiber-optic amenity company Connexion Technologies (search for Connexion Technologies) to build a Fiber to the Home (FTTH) network throughout the community.

"There's a revolution occurring with fiber-optic technology, and it's contagious," contends Glen Lang, founder of Connexion Technologies. "Home buyers are starting to demand it. It's no longer a question of if, but when fiber will be in most communities across the U.S."

The Met's network will support a vast array of services, including ultra-high speed Internet connections, more than 200 digital channels of entertainment, and even Techcierge, a Simplikate solution that enables concierge services at the touch of a button. Also, all of the Met's homes will come equipped with high-tech devices from Circuit City, say Met representatives.

"What really sets us apart is our ability to deliver ultra-high speed--up to 25 Mbits/sec-- Fiber to the Home Internet to every owner's suite; Cox and Qwest can't touch it," notes Met project director Steve Earnhart. "Meeting the demand for a high-speed connection is critical, especially considering the technology demands of our residents employed by the nearby Silicon Desert companies."
