Vitesse unveils multi-rate SFP reference design

VCSEL driver needs no external biasing components
November 1, 2004 Sunnyvale, CA -- Maxim Integrated Products has introduced the MAX3975, a 3.3-V, 10-Gbit/sec packaged VCSEL driver. The MAX3975 is designed for XFP, XENPAK, XPAK, and X2 modules for multimode 10-Gbit/sec applications and is available in a 2.5x2.5-mm CSP package. This driver can be DC coupled to the VCSEL, eliminating the need for bias filters and thus saving cost.
