Tyco Electronics redesigns singlemode SC connectors October 25, 2004 Harrisburg, PA -- Tyco Electronics, a business segment of Tyco International Ltd., has introduced enhanced-design singlemode SC connectors that optimize performance on 1.6- to 2.0-mm cable. The 1.6-mm SC jumpers have been tested to Telcordia GR-326, Issue 3; Service Life-Part A, using standard match-cladding fiber. The new connectors also incorporate a six-position tuning feature that optimizes fiber alignment and performance.

Xelerated intros 'Ethernet-optimized' network processor October 19, 2004 Concord, MA -- Xelerated says they have doubled the throughput of the Xelerator X11 from 10-Gbit/sec full-duplex to 20-Gbit/sec full-duplex and embedded 24 Fast Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet (FE/GE) MACs.
