Cisco launches IP NGN platform enhancements, announces deployments April 18, 2005 San Jose, CA -- Cisco today announced products, features, and deployments related to its Internet Protocol Next-Generation Networks (IP NGN) platform for service providers. The company says the platform enables carriers to deliver new services, while improving opex and capex efficiencies, and enhancing value-added network and service control. The platform was introduced in December 2004.
Master Bond introduces optically clear, UV-curable adhesive/coating April 18, 2005 Hackensack, NJ -- UV15-7 is a one-component, optically clear, non-yellowing UV curable polymer developed by Master Bond, a provider of advanced adhesives, sealants, coatings, and potting technology. According to the company, the polymer, a 100% reactive system containing no solvents or other volatiles, cures almost instantaneously when exposed to a UV light source of adequate wavelength.
Albis Opto launches new photodiodes April 15, 2005 Rueschlikon, Switzerland -- Albis Optoelectronics, a developer and manufacturer of photodiodes for analog and digital applications, has introduced its X-tra Small line of photodiodes, which measure 300 x 350 micron. According to the company, the chips offer high responsivity, low capacitance, and low bias voltages of typically 1.5 V, while occupying minimal space on TO-headers.
