Qingdao Netcom awards Lucent with optical transmission expansion contract July 6, 2005 Murray Hill, NJ and Qingdao, China -- Lucent has won a $1.2 million contract to supply Qingdao Netcom, a subsidiary of China Netcom, with the Lucent Metropolis ADM Multiservice Transport Platform (MSTP). The company says the contract marks another significant win with the carrier, since the two parties' signing of an optical transmission contract last year.
Rural MN telco co-op migrates to ADC FTTX platform July 6, 2005 Minneapolis, MN -- West Central Telephone Association of Sebeka, MN today announced that it will deploy ADC's OmniReach platform in support of an all-fiber network infrastructure. By converting its network entirely to fiber-optic cabling and by putting all its customers within 12,000 ft. of one its 88 digital loop carriers, the co-op says it's readying its 602-sq. mi. service area in rural Minnesota for an expansion of high-tech jobs.

Lucent, Telindus picked to provide Holland's Essent Kabelcom with optical infrastructure, Ethernet services July 5, 2005 Hilversum, The Netherlands -- Lucent and Telindus have been selected by Essent Kabelcom, a leading cable company in the Netherlands, to deliver next-generation optical systems and software in support of Essent's Ethernet-over-optical deployment for select enterprise customers. Telindus will deliver, commission, test and perform ongoing technical support and maintenance services for the optical systems, which will be provided by Lucent.
