Dry cloth cleaner aids FTTH applications
June 12, 2006 Hickory, NC -- US Conec announces the introduction and immediate availability of a dry cloth cleaning tool designed to clean oil and debris on singlemode APC outdoor hardened connectors such as the OptiTap connector from Corning Cable Systems. The cleaning tool was co-developed with NTT-AT and is an extension of the Optipop Reel Cleaner product line.

Phyworks goes 8G with VCSEL and Laser Drivers
June 8, 2006 Bristol, UK -- Phyworks will extend its Fibre Channel product line to 8 Gbits/sec with two new products now in development. The new devices include the PHY1080, an 8G integrated VCSEL driver and limiting amplifier designed for short-wavelength, multimode applications, and the PHY1085, an 8G integrated laser driver and limiting amplifier designed for long-wavelength, singlemode applications.
