AT&T delivers coast-to-coast 40G backbone connectivity
DECEMBER 10, 2007 -- AT&T has deployed 40-Gbit/sec (or OC-768) technology on more than 50,000 wavelength miles of its U.S. IP/MPLS backbone network to date. The carrier says that by the end of the year, more than 40% of the IP traffic carried over its backbone network will ride on this new-generation platform.
