Verizon, Nortel announce 100G trial
OCTOBER 6, 2008 -- Verizon's latest 100G trial used Nortel's Optical Multiservice Edge 6500 convergence platform, equipped with 40G/100G Adaptive Optical Engine technology. The carrier says this trial demonstrated twice the tolerance for signal distortion than standard 10G transmission.
